Tony's new look

Saturday July 26, 2008 @ 05:13 PM EDT

One of the first things noticeable about the paint schemes on Tony Stewart’s new cars are that they won’t change much when he switches from events where Office Depot is considered the primary sponsor and when Old Spice is the primary sponsor. The color scheme of a dominant red with black-and-white trim will stay the same.
While there is nothing wrong with the occasional special paint scheme, nothing is more frustrating than trying to locate a certain car on the track during a race and having said car running a different paint scheme seemingly every week because of a constant change in sponsors. Stewart’s cars won’t suffer that fate, and that’s a good thing.
Stewart said Office Depot will be the primary sponsor on 60 percent - or roughly 20 of the 36 Sprint Cup races - beginning in 2009, with Old Spice carrying his No. 14 banner in the remaining races.
