Come on NASCAR, I’m ashamed. Requiring Toyota engines to cut 15 horsepower in Nationwide? I’m not a Toyota fan, but this reeks of bending to the whining of Chevy, Ford and Dodge. Just because Toyota finally did something right is no cause for penalizing them. This can be a very hurtful thing for the Toyota teams in attracting and retaining sponsorship. The American automakers need to step up, not step on the new guy. One would think the NASCAR motto is: “Do well and be punished accordingly”. However, a 15 horsepower reduction is not only egregious, it is greater than the measured differences between Toyota and others according to NASCAR’s own data. Whatever you do, NASCAR, don’t spread this to Cup!

When Gibbs keeps winning even with the reduced horsepower, no one will be able to say anything! We all know it takes more than a fast car to win a race. Especially in Sprint Cup. Go Gibbs!!! Go Kyle!!! Let’s show everyone that talent and teamwork are why you are winning!

Finally NASCAR has done something to restore some faith with the fans. I was beginning to think maybe they were Toy’s pocket, but now, maybe not so much. Toys should not have been allowed to compete to begin with. Everyone knows they ruin every racing series they compete in.
